Employee Spotlight: Meet Amber

Bonny Calfy | March 1, 2016

Amber is a Paycom service department supervisor and has been with Paycom since 2013.

When asked what one word she would choose to describe Paycom, she said, “Unmatched. Paycom is unmatched in a multitude of ways. From our company culture to our product and customer service, there is no other company that compares to Paycom.”

AmberDescribe what you do.

I am a supervisor in the Paycom Service Department. I am blessed each day to work with a group of amazing team leads. I’m able to help them grow and develop as Paycom employees. I also work with existing Paycom clients to help ensure the client has what they need to successfully run their business.

What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?

Network! Get to know your colleagues in your department as well as others. These individuals will be like your second family and will be your biggest support group.

What is one thing you have learned that you did not know before working at Paycom?

No matter what level you are at in life, you can always be a leader. There is always an opportunity to  influence someone around you.

AmberTeam What makes you proud to work at Paycom?

There are so many reasons I am proud to work at Paycom. I am proud to work for a company that truly cares about its employees. There are tremendous opportunities for growth and development. I started at Paycom fresh out of college and I have grown more in the last few years than I ever could have imagined.

What’s on your desk?

My desk is like my home away from home, so I have it decorated as such. There are pictures of my son, family and friends. There is also a splash of pink and leopard print!

What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?

I love hanging out with my son! He is the coolest toddler you will ever meet. I also have my own small business doing event planning and crafting. In my spare time, I also really enjoy scrapbooking and making bows and tutus.

If you could pick anyone in the world to have lunch with, who would it be and why?

I would love to have lunch with Oprah Winfrey. She is one of the most influential women in the world. She has had a positive impact on so many people’s lives. I believe I could learn a thing or two about being a leader from her.
