Employee Spotlight: Meet Jasmine

Ashley Jezek | August 6, 2021

We interviewed one of our senior public relations marketers, Jasmine, to learn more about her Paycom journey.

Describe what you do.

I produce and host some of Paycom’s thought-leadership webinars, which means I get to share educational information with the public on HR topics and trends, especially those relating to technology. I also assist with producing Paycom’s podcast, HR Break Room®.

What is your favorite thing about your team?

My favorite thing about my team is the level of leadership we all exhibit day in and day out. There are a lot of moving parts involved in both webinar and podcast producing, and each member of our team goes above and beyond to lead up and across in every aspect to ensure our live webinars and podcast recordings go off without a hitch.

What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?

Don’t let the abundance of opportunity and potential overwhelm you. Set goals, let your leaders know about them, strive for progress and never give up. If you set your mind to something, Paycom can take you there. There are so many smart, caring and helpful individuals available to assist with you reaching your goals that there’s little excuse for not working toward them.

What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?

Innovative. There is no shortage of innovation at this company. Whether it’s creating cutting-edge tech tools to improve the workplace or using new methods to create a safe space for employees to discuss sensitive topics, no one ever rests on their laurels at Paycom, which makes for an environment of continuous advancement and creativity.

What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?

My greatest accomplishment at Paycom is being a part of the team that, in less than a month, ramped up production to generate double the output we had been previously producing, leading to more than a 100% increase in our number one key performance indicator (KPI). Essentially, I helped take an already awesome program that was having good results, found ways to make things better and ended up setting new standards that we could’ve never imagined – and for that I’m extremely proud.

What makes you proud to work at Paycom?

I am proud to work at Paycom because I know the company is working hard not only for me, but all of its employees. I truly feel valued and cared for at Paycom because of the effort put behind making the employee experience a success for everyone. From the on-site amenities to the wonderful benefits plan to the extracurricular activities and the occasional surprise gifts, I feel like more than a number.

What hobbies do you enjoy in your free time?

I absolutely love traveling. It brings me joy to experience a culture different than mine, to learn about history and to see parts of the world that I haven’t seen before. When I’m not out of town, I am usually hanging out with my family, so I consider time with them another enjoyable hobby of mine.

If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

If I could eat only one meal for the rest of my life, it would be spinach salad with grilled chicken for sure! Salad is so versatile that I feel it’d be easy to mix it up when I got bored. With the option of a savory or sweet dressing, I’d be set for life.
