“Some of my favorite memories with HR Break Room have to be getting the once-in-a-lifetime chance to speak with HR heroes, including Jennifer McClure, Steve Boese and Sharlyn Lauby.

Each of these individuals has dedicated their time, effort and energy to innovating the profession of human resources, which has impacted me personally and so many others practicing in the workplace today.”

“Paycom’s HR Break Room is exactly like the conversations we have in our company’s break room: casual and conversational. I can see myself standing there, making my tea, and before you know it, I’m sitting at a table with some managers having a chat about workplace technologies. Because that’s how some of the best conversations happen in the workplace.”

“I have two favorite HR Break Room podcast episodes: ‘Upskilling the Workforce’ and ‘Better Conversations.’ Having dedicated my life to the growth and development of others, talking to our clients about upskilling and reskilling was critically important because it was relevant and timely for many of the challenges our clients face today. Also, preparing for the podcast forced me to think about being creative in our upskilling strategy for our department.

“‘Better Conversations’ was also fun and came at a critical time in our country. Being a black man navigating corporate spaces where I am always in the minority, it was nice to focus on how listening and learning is the foundation for diversity and inclusion, not meaningless platitudes or vague programs that exasperate the issues.”

Jennifer Kraszewski, Paycom's Vice President of Human Resources

“My favorite moment was the opportunity to talk about the new technologies that we developed for our clients, specifically in Direct Data Exchange®, employee usage and — of course — Beti.

Also, getting to host Steve Boese in person inside our fabulous headquarters was a real highlight!”

“It has been fantastic to be a part of the HR Break Room. The topics are always deep and important and valuable to the HR community. We really dive into our topics with lots of questions. It’s not fluff. It’s in-depth. [It’s] such a valuable resource for the HR community. I’m pretty sensitive about HR podcasts. I feel like I’m one of the persons who pioneered in the space. HR Break Room has set a really, really high bar for other HR podcasts to follow.”
