Workplace Compliance Trends: A Look at What to Expect

When: Available On Demand

Duration: 50 minutes + Q&A

Federal, state and local jurisdictions continue to enact new laws that will shape the compliance landscape. Is your organization ready?

To give one timely example, the new Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act allows employers to elect to delay payment of their federal payroll taxes and delay the deposit and payment of their Social Security taxes, effective immediately, through December 31, 2020. Another, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), gives American businesses with fewer than 500 employees funds to provide COVID-19-impacted employees with paid leave, among other provisions. Both are now federal law.

Meanwhile, sexual harassment continues to impact businesses. In the U.S., according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 2018 saw approximately 40 million Google searches of the term, while 2019 brought more than 12,500 allegations, worth $68 million in settlements.

Then there is the rising popularity of predictive scheduling laws, designed to allow the availability of employees to better align with their organizations’ needs.

In this webinar, AJ Griffin, Paycom’s director of government and community affairs, will join us to discuss:

  • How the new FFCRA and CARES Act may impact your business
  • Paid sick and paid family leave programs
  • Expanded sexual harassment protections
  • Predictive scheduling
  • Overtime exemption rules
  • How to ensure your organization remains compliant
