Paycom and its Employees Give $75,000 to The Salvation Army

OKLAHOMA CITY – Today, Paycom presented The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma with a check for $75,000, which is the largest amount the Oklahoma City-based nonprofit has received as part of its annual Red Kettle campaign.

Paycom’s donation surpassed its 2016 Red Kettle campaign gift by $5,000. To raise the funds, Paycom employees donated lunch money, purchased daily raffles and shopped for Paycom swag at an on-site “garage sale.” Each employee-donated dollar was matched with a corporate gift of $1.50.

The annual year-end contribution of Paycom and its employees help the local chapter of The Salvation Army help Oklahomans in need, both during the holiday season and beyond.

“I credit our employees who put a lot of time and dedication into raising these funds for The Salvation Army. They stepped up in a big way this year to provide much-needed resources for those in crisis,” said Chad Raymond, Paycom’s vice president of human resources. “It is our privilege to present this gift.”

“This year, because of your employees’ generosity, 3,000-plus familes are going to have a joyful Christmas, complete with meals, toys and fun,” said Major Thomas McWilliams, area commander of The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma. “And while they may not know where the funds came from, The Salvation Army does, and we are so grateful.”

Paycom and its employees have a proud history of supporting The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma, having donated more than $350,000 over the past seven years. Last month, Paycom hosted its fifth annual HoliDazzle community coat drive as part of KFOR’s Brad Edwards Warmth 4 Winter campaign, which benefits the area nonprofit.
