OKLAHOMA CITY (June 30, 2023) – Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, recently donated $50,000 to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit that provides 24/7 crisis support services to LGBTQ+ youth.
“LGBTQ+ young people deserve to be accepted for who they are, and have access to the support and resources they need to lead happy, healthy lives,” said Troy Stevenson, director of state advocacy campaigns at The Trevor Project. “To achieve a world where all young people have the same opportunity to thrive, we need the support of allies and organizations, like Paycom, and the life-saving resources they champion.”
Founded in 1998, The Trevor Project’s mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ+ young people. The organization provides free crisis services, peer support, research and public education. As a strong advocate for the mental health of young people, The Trevor Project organizes advocacy campaigns at the local, state and federal levels.
“It’s an honor to provide this donation that directly supports LGBTQ+ youth on behalf of our employees,” said AJ Dronkers, manager of diversity, equity and inclusion at Paycom. “As an organization focused on innovation, mental wellness and inclusion, we know these funds will help create a safer and more inclusive world for young adults in our nation.”
Paycom is also a presenting sponsor of OKC PrideFest 2023, an annual event hosted by Oklahoma City Pride Alliance. The donation and sponsorship are part of Paycom’s multifaceted effort to fostering an inclusive community. Employees took part by donating through Paycom’s ongoing employee giving campaign, which supports local and national causes.
