OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 13, 2020) – On the heels of Veterans Day, Paycom Software, Inc., (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, donated $30,000 to Folds of Honor to help provide scholarships to military families.
The donation comes as part of Paycom’s ongoing giving campaign in which employees have the opportunity to donate to a variety of local and national causes.
“We are thankful to Paycom and its employees for their generous support,” said Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, CEO and founder of Folds of Honor. “Employee giveback programs are one of the most effective tools in providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.”
Paycom employees also participated in a virtual volunteer opportunity in October where they wrote over 300 cards online for veterans in our community. These cards were distributed by the Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-America Chapter on Veterans Day.
“It’s an honor for Paycom and its employees to partner with Folds of Honor,” said AJ Griffin, Paycom’s director of government and community affairs. “They do incredible work for our veterans and their families. This is our chance to give back to the people who have sacrificed so much for us.”
Folds of Honor provides scholarships to families of military members who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty. Their educational scholarships support tuition and tutoring for children in grades K-12 and higher education tuition assistance for spouses and dependents. Forty-one percent of their scholarships are provided to minorities.
“Since 2007, Folds of Honor has given approximately 28,000 scholarships totaling over $140 million,” Rooney added. “With Paycom and its team’s commitment, qualified and deserving students will be able to better their lives and fulfill their dreams.”
