OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 29, 2024) — Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE: PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, recently donated $35,000 to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge communities through its employee giving program. These communities provide free, temporary lodging for adults facing cancer and their caregivers when treatment is far from home.
“As the executive sponsor for the Caregiver Employee Resource Group at Paycom, I feel proud of our team members for coming together to support such a life-changing organization,” said Tiffany McGowen, Paycom’s vice president of talent acquisition. “The Hope Lodge is crucial for patients and their loved ones, and I know our employees are honored to be a small part of their journey.”
The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge communities provide a home-like atmosphere so each guest feels as comfortable as possible while undergoing treatment. Paycom’s donation will fund the American Cancer Society Chad Richison Hope Lodge in Oklahoma City and the American Cancer Society Gene and Jerry Jones Family Hope Lodge in Dallas.
“We are deeply grateful to Paycom and their employees for supporting our vision to end cancer as we know it,” said Jeff Fehlis, executive vice president for the American Cancer Society South Region. “Thanks to our community partners, like Paycom and their team, we’re able to offer free lodging and a supportive community with American Cancer Society’s Chad Richison Hope Lodge in Oklahoma City so they may focus on what’s important — recovery.”
The Chad Richison Hope Lodge opened last August after a $5 million gift from Paycom Founder and CEO Chad Richison. Since then, the facility has provided 4,000 nights of lodging. It is currently the first and only Hope Lodge in Oklahoma.
Each year, nearly 4,000 cancer patients travel at least 40 miles to Oklahoma City for potentially lifesaving treatment. Having access to free lodging is an essential part of beating cancer for those patients. Nationally, the Hope Lodge program provided over 500,000 nights of free lodging last year alone.
Paycom’s employee giving program allows team members to donate to local and national causes that ensure all basic needs in the community are met. Each month, employees donate to nonprofits that offer youth programming, programs for individuals living with disabilities, mental health treatment, and food support for individuals and children needing assistance.
