In celebration of National Payroll Week (NPW), Paycom continued its tradition of embracing a fun workplace culture while also giving back to the Oklahoma community. Paycom celebrated with a week full of employee activities and competitions, including a charity drive that collected and donated 14,638 non-perishable goods to The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma.
“Our employees came together to support a great cause and had a lot of fun doing it,” said Jason Bodin, corporate communications manager at Paycom. “The team at Paycom is dedicated to giving back to the community, and we’re proud of their generous donations to The Salvation Army.”
Paycom’s annual NPW festivities incorporated the canned food drive benefiting local agencies five years ago and has grown in size ever since. This year’s total nearly tripled last year’s count of 5,763.
Traditionally, NPW is celebrated during the week after Labor Day, but in an effort to maximize the week’s festivities, Paycom celebrated from Sept. 14 to Sept. 18. During the week, Paycom employees teamed up to participate in Back to the Future-themed competitions, including a talent show, relay races and canoe races in the Paycom pond. More than 30 teams went head-to-head as part of the canned food drive portion.
