Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, presented The Salvation Army with a record-breaking gift of $65,000 on Tuesday.
Paycom’s 2015 gift was the largest employee-and-company-combined donation The Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma has collected this year and is the largest check the organization has ever received.
This year’s total surpassed last year’s gift of $60,112, which was previously the largest check the organization received. Paycom’s contribution helped the Oklahoma City-based nonprofit increase its kettle-campaign funds as part of its continuing efforts to help those in need, both during the holiday season and beyond.
“It’s humbling to be part of an organization that gives back to the community on such a grand scale,” said Paycom’s chief operating officer, Stacey Pezold. “We work with the most generous group of people who are always willing to step up to help those less fortunate.”
To raise the funds, Paycom employees participated in multiple raffles, in which every dollar raised was matched with a corporate gift of $1.50.
“Through Paycom’s generous donation, we will be able to provide hundreds of families with presents and basic necessities this holiday season,” said The Salvation Army’s Major Paul Gilliam.
In addition to their generous contribution, Paycom employees helped make Christmas possible for 110 Oklahomans through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which benefits families who have a need for financial assistance with presents for their children and seniors.
Earlier this month, Paycom hosted its third annual HoliDazzle event, also benefiting The Salvation Army. Held Dec. 12 at Buy for Less’ 3501 Northwest Expressway location, the coat drive was part of KFOR’s annual Brad Edwards Warmth 4 Winter campaign.
