OKLAHOMA CITY (July 8, 2020) – Paycom Software, Inc., (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, donated nearly $13,000 to the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City to support their mission and services.
Paycom employees participated in the “Extra Mile Challenge,” a companywide wellness and charity initiative in June to raise money toward the donation, raising $12,755. Challengers recorded miles while on a walk, run, hike and/or bike. Each mile recorded was converted into a dollar donated to the YMCA. Employees could also make monetary donations.
“We are very appreciative to be selected as the organization of the month for Paycom employees to support,” states Kelly Kay, president and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. “This is a great opportunity for us to share our impact in the community with Paycom employees, while also furthering that reach through their generosity. On behalf of our staff, board of directors and all those we serve, thank you for your support, especially during this critical time.”
The donations come as part of Paycom’s ongoing giving campaign, in which employees have the opportunity to donate to a variety of local and national causes. Additional ways they give back include volunteer events and service initiatives that strengthen families and communities.
“We enjoy partnering with the YMCA because they have a wide reach in the community,” said AJ Griffin, Paycom’s director of governmental and community affairs. “They not only provide essential services but also enrichment and social activities for kids and seniors.”
Paycom donated to more than 40 organizations across 18 states in the second quarter of 2020. These organizations served many different populations and included STEM education programming, youth physical education and education, mental health programming, senior services, health support and COVID relief funding.
