OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 7, 2022) — Paycom Software Inc. (NYSE:PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, hosted nearly 20 Oklahoma City-area nonprofits at a philanthropy fair on Oct. 7. The fair connected Paycom team members with each nonprofit’s mission and encouraged employees to learn more and volunteer.
Paycom surprised each participating nonprofit with a $1,000 donation, which is in addition to other support the company has provided throughout the year. Paycom also held a Philanthropy Fair at its Texas Operations Center in Grapevine, where it hosted nine nonprofits that received $1,000 each, bringing the day’s giving total to $27,000.
“I’m thrilled to see Paycom’s dedication to serving nonprofits and encouraging their employees to do the same,” said Christina Beatty, project director at Freedom Center of Oklahoma City, a nonprofit committed to preserving the history and furthering the mission of the civil rights movement in Oklahoma. “It’s fantastic to be supported by Paycom through their donation and their team members’ readiness to serve communities around the globe.”
While at the philanthropy fair, Paycom team members were also able to put their value of service into action. They partnered with USO, a nonprofit serving military members and families, and stuffed deployment packs and wrote thank-you notes to those serving.
“Fostering a culture of giving and serving is an ongoing priority at Paycom,” said AJ Griffin, director of government and community affairs at Paycom. “This philanthropy fair is the embodiment of service in action. It brings a wide range of excellent, local nonprofits to our team members so they can learn more, find ways to get involved and, ultimately, make our communities stronger.”
Participating nonprofits included The Anna’s House Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County, Calm Waters, Freedom Center of Oklahoma City, Free Mom Hugs, Goodwill Industries, LifeShare of Oklahoma, Maisha Project, Make-A-Wish Oklahoma, National Alliance on Mental Health, Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, Oklahoma Humane Society, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, The Salvation Army, Sisu Youth Services, Tenaciously Teal, Water4 and USO.
Paycom supports local and national causes through several initiatives that strengthen families and communities, including corporate giving, employee giving and volunteer events. Paycom’s inaugural in-person Philanthropy Fair gave employees the resources and connections they needed to make an impact.
