Paycom Named One of the Five Best Places to Work in U.S.
Oklahoma City-based Paycom, a leader in payroll and HR services technology, has been honored with Glassdoor’s inaugural Employees’ Choice Award as one of the five Best Medium-Sized Companies to Work for in 2014.
“To be recognized based on the feedback of our own employees is one of the highest honors we could achieve. They are the key to our continued growth and business success,” said Stacey Pezold, Paycom executive vice president of operations. “They go to great lengths to service our customers, so we make every effort to provide the same level of service back to our employees.”
Paycom understands the importance of celebrating success and recognizing employee achievements. It offers a number of fun events for employees and their families throughout the year, in addition to monthly luncheons and activities.
“Employee engagement ultimately leads to customer satisfaction,” Pezold said, “so as a business, we will continue to make every effort possible to support our employees both personally and professionally.”
The national award relies solely on the feedback of employees who elected to provide their opinion of their current or previous company’s culture, work environment and leadership, via Glassdoor’s anonymous online survey.
“Glassdoor is working to create greater workplace transparency and is committed to helping people find jobs they love,” said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder. “Through the Employees’ Choice Awards, we aim to highlight those employers that excel in keeping employees satisfied and engaged.”
The Glassdoor company review survey included both quantitative and qualitative questions designed to capture a genuine and authentic inside look at what it’s like to work in particular jobs at particular companies. The survey asked employees to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation and benefits, work/life balance, senior management, culture and values. In addition, employees were asked to list the best reasons to work at their company, as well as any downsides.
The Best Medium-Sized Companies to Work For list is determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees who elected to participate in the survey between Nov. 14, 2012, and Nov. 12, 2013. To be considered for the list, a company must have had between 250 and 999 employees and have received at least 20 approved company reviews during the window of eligibility. Finalists were compiled based on Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, which takes into account quantity and the quality and consistency of reviews.
