OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 19, 2022) – Paycom Software Inc. (NYSE: PAYC), a leading provider of comprehensive, cloud-based human capital management software, and the Richison Family Foundation have each donated $50,000 to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ young people.
“This partnership is a continuation of our diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives as we extend the equitable environment we’ve worked so hard to create at Paycom,” said Paycom founder and CEO Chad Richison. “These initiatives are important to me, which is why I am matching Paycom’s gift with an additional $50,000 donation from the Richison Family Foundation.”
The Trevor Project provides around-the-clock access to crisis counselors and resources that support LGBTQ young people and aims to end suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth. The organization is the leading advocate for LGBTQ youth mental health at the local, state and federal levels to address factors that place LGBTQ youth at significantly higher risk of suicide.
“We recognize Paycom’s exceptional support for its employees and their well-being along with the company’s diversity and inclusion initiatives, and we’re grateful to welcome their support of our life-saving work,” said Troy Stevenson, senior advocacy campaign manager at The Trevor Project. “Paycom’s donation will directly aid our multi-faceted efforts to help create a safer and more inclusive world for younger generations.”
The company has an established diversity, inclusion and belonging program, which includes trainings, adoption of diversity standards for board consideration, a leadership steering committee, employee resource groups and its award-winning Better Conversations series that allows team members to listen, learn and share about important societal topics.
