Paycom CEO and Founder, Chad Richison, was named one of Glassdoor’s Highest Rated CEOs. The 2014 recognition for Richison was based on anonymous and voluntary reviews of Paycom employees throughout the last year. Richison received a 94 percent approval rating, which is one of the highest rankings for businesses in the small and medium size category in Glassdoor’s online survey.
Richison was the only CEO from Oklahoma to be honored on either the Top 50 large business or medium-sized businesses lists. The award marks Paycom’s second Glassdoor distinction for 2014, as it was recently named one of the five Best Medium-Sized Companies to Work for in the U.S.
Richison, who founded Paycom in 1998, was named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in the Southwest Area North in 2010. In 2013, Richison earned The Oklahoman’s Large Business Leadership Award, adding to his list of accolades.
“To be honored and receive endorsement from your employees for your strong leadership ability is no small task. It requires a steady commitment to define, express and constantly reiterate the company mission and set a clear picture of long term success,” said Glassdoor CEO & Co-founder Robert Hohman. “I am proud to help celebrate each CEO on the Glassdoor report for attaining this remarkable achievement.”
Large US employers had to receive at least 100 CEO approval ratings and SMB US employers had to receive at least 20 approval ratings between February 1, 2013 and January 31, 2014.
CEO approval ratings are gathered through Glassdoor’s online company review survey which seeks to gain employee sentiment about the work environment and culture of their current or recent employer. Employees are asked to rate a number of factors related to the job and company including how satisfied they are with the job and company along with key workplace facets like compensation and benefits as well as work-life balance. In addition, employees are asked whether they approve or disapprove of the way their CEO is leading the company.
