With national awards, new partnerships and philanthropy, 2022 was a year of big wins for Paycom. We continue to raise the standards for technology and work culture. Here are a few of our favorite moments from this year.
Setting the workplace standard
Paycom received countless industry awards for company culture, innovative technology and our fantastic teams.
- Paycom’s Beti® continues to push the HR tech industry forward by empowering employees to do their own payroll.
- Beti® contributed to Paycom ranking on the Most Innovative Companies list for 2022 by Fast Company.
- Paycom was again named one of the nation’s Top Workplaces USA and ranked as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers by Forbes.
- Paycom’s corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City celebrated 10 consecutive years of being one of the Top Workplaces in Oklahoma.
- Trust from our clients, investors and team members led to recognition of Paycom as one of America’s Most Trusted Companies by Newsweek.
- We received multiple accolades from Comparably, including Best Company Outlook, Best Sales Department, Best Marketing Department, Best Company Compensation, Best Company Perks & Benefits, Best CEOs for Women and Best Company for Career Growth. Comparably awards are based on thousands of anonymous reviews from Paycom employees.
New growth: Texas Operations Center
Year after year, Paycom continues to grow. In May, we expanded our operations to Grapevine, Texas, with the opening of our second-largest facility. The Grapevine office is home to approximately 1,000 team members across departments that include operations, technology, human resources and more.
From the earliest days, Paycom’s Grapevine team members exemplified our values of innovation, winning, giving, caring and service. For that reason, Paycom’s Texas Operations Center in Grapevine has already been recognized as one of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area’s Top Workplaces in 2022.
Innovative partnerships
Earlier this year, Paycom began a partnership with TikTok star Corporate Natalie. In a series of commercials, Natalie highlighted the importance of perfect payroll with Beti, Paycom’s employee-driven payroll experience. Bringing a TikTok star to television was unique, but Paycom’s marketing team pushed the envelope and innovated in a big way.
Paycom also welcomed professional golfer Viktor Hovland as our newest brand ambassador. Like Paycom, Hovland strives to continuously raise his standard of excellence through hard work and innovation. The top-ten-ranked golfer in the world previously competed for Oklahoma State University as a student athlete, which strengthened Hovland’s ties to Oklahoma.
Paycom also works to better communities around the world, which led us to become the presenting sponsor of Golf Fore Africa’s inaugural 405 Classic LPGA Celebrity Pro-Am golf tournament. Founded by six-time LPGA championship winner Betsy King, Golf Fore Africa works to bring access to clean water to children and families living in extreme poverty across Africa.
Advancing workplace research
Living in one easy app, our innovative HR technology was created with employees in mind. But understanding the wants and needs of employees is essential to developing tools for the modern workplace. This year, Paycom commissioned two research studies to learn more about American workers and their struggles with inefficient HR technology.
In a study commissioned by Paycom, Morning Consult found 82% of Americans would have difficulties paying bills if $500 were missing from a check. One out of five Americans have experienced at least one payroll error in the past year, leading to drastic measures to make ends meet.
A study conducted by OnePoll earlier this year revealed 77% of employees are frustrated with outdated technology at work, but only 54% of executives believe their employees are frustrated. Additionally, nearly 70% of employees are willing to take a pay cut to have technology and software twice as good as what they’re currently using.
Supporting our communities
Paycom is dedicated to serving and improving the quality of life in the communities it serves. As part of Paycom’s ongoing giving campaign, Paycom donated to various organizations supporting local communities and causes that matter.
- Paycom gifted $75,000 to The Anna’s House Foundation to support local foster families. This gift succeeds a donation earlier this year to The Shelter for Abused Women & Children, which provides community training, prevention classes and affordable housing to those affected by domestic violence and human trafficking.
- In honor of Pride Month, Paycom donated to The Trevor Project and Free Mom Hugs, nonprofits supporting LGBTQ+ initiatives across the country. These groups advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals and offer various forms of support and resources.
- Paycom donated $50,000 to support the historic Freedom Center of Oklahoma City and its educational programming about the civil rights movement in Oklahoma. The donation honored Black History Month with a goal of contributing to an organization initiating dialogue, learning and inclusivity in OKC year-round.
- We continued to support new generations of STEM leaders through donations to educational programs like Second Saturday Family Days, Shiloh Camp, FIRST® Robotics Competition, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County and more.
These are just a few of our many initiatives in which Paycom creates opportunities for employees to make an impact where they live and work. We are extremely grateful to the Paycom team for another year of growth and successes. Click here to read more about this year’s accomplishments.
