We interviewed one of our executive client relations representatives, Ashley, to learn more about her Paycom journey.
Describe what you do.
I am a client relations representative who works with executives to identify additional revenue opportunities, drive business initiatives and increase enterprise value. I also work with their team to drive employee engagement, provide best practices and reduce risk exposure.
What is your favorite thing about your team?
My favorite thing about my team is their perspectives. I work on a team that has a lot of depth. They challenge me to be better and think outside of the box. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to accomplish the goals I have and excel in my role. They are amazing and extremely intelligent people.
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
A piece of advice I would give to a new employee to be successful at Paycom would be to work hard! Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Knowledge is power, and there is never a bad question. Believe in your leader, find a mentor and trust the process.
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom and why?
Opportunity. Paycom gives you so much opportunity if you are willing to put in the work. The sky is the limit.
What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?
I truly believe my greatest accomplishment is the relationships I’ve built with my clients. It has brought me so much joy over the years while working with them and getting to know them on a personal level. They are the reason I LOVE my job.
What makes you proud to work at Paycom?
The Paycom brand. When I go places, it is rewarding to hear people talk about where Paycom was 10 years ago compared to now. I am proud to work for a company that I’ve watched change so many lives. I also am proud that I work for some of the best executives in the nation. They have a vision, and it’s impressive to see them live it out and truly dominate.
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?
Being a full-time mommy and playing with my kids. I also enjoy playing golf, going to the lake and attending OU football games. Boomer Sooner!
If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
I could not choose between pho and sushi. I love trying food from all different cultures. Also, my kids love both!
