We interviewed one of our executive sales representatives, Brandy, to learn more about her Paycom journey.
Describe what you do.
I am an outside executive sales representative, and I work with medium to large organizations.
What is your favorite thing about your team?
The team environment looks different now than it did a year ago, but what I love most about our team is the people. I have several representatives to lean on, learn from and strategize with. I have developed some of my very best friendships within this team, and it is awesome getting to go to work every day with your best friends!
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
Come ready to roll your sleeves up and learn! You are going to be given a tremendous amount of information, structure and learning opportunities. You are also going to be given a support system to help you WIN! Lean on your team and your manager and embrace it. It will pay off sooner than you think!
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?
Life-changing. Paycom is life-changing for employees with the incredible amount of opportunity the company has — not only monetarily but also in personal growth and leadership skills. It is also life-changing for our clients. The thanks we get from the employees and executives we help is so inspiring.
What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?
Every day is an accomplishment, but the greatest to date would have to be becoming an executive representative last year. It was an uphill climb, but it’s amazing to look back and know that I didn’t give up and I reached my goal!
What makes you proud to work at Paycom?
I’m most proud of how our leadership has a spirit of servitude. I love that our executives consistently step up to give and give big in our communities! We are working on a giving challenge this year with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and it feels so good to be part of that!
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?
My kids are older, so being able to travel with them is my most favorite thing to do. Other than that, I am rekindling my love with running and weight lifting, and I love spending time with my husband, gardening and hanging out by the pool.
If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
All things Mexican. Chips and salsa, guacamole and fajitas top the list!
