We interviewed one of our executive sales reps, Chase, to learn more about his Paycom journey.
What is your favorite thing about your sales office?
My favorite thing about working in the Salt Lake City sales office is definitely my team and manager – sharp group of individuals who love to compete! I get to live in the best city and work for the best company out there so I feel like I hit the jackpot! What more could you ask for?
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
Listen more than you talk, and think before you ask questions. The amount of information you’re going to take in is going to be overwhelming, but be patient with yourself and focus on getting better every day. The only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time.
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?
Transcendent. Paycom is not an ordinary company to work for, Paycom is exceptional. And by being part of this company, you too will become exceptional.
What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?
I know it sounds corny, but the personal growth I’ve experienced over the last 12 months has transformed my life into something I’m truly proud of. President’s Club and partnering with a company that will be one of Paycom’s largest clients are definitely up there!
Where has been your favorite place to travel, and why?
Anywhere with friends, decent weather, a golf course and good food will work just fine for me!
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?
I love playing golf, snowboarding, rock climbing, fishing and camping.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Pizza and chicken wings because my girlfriend feeds me vegan food and that’s what I crave every day!
