Kylie joined Paycom as a sales representative in June 2018. Recently, I asked her to share her story.
Describe what you do:
Sales is just the start. Every day I get to help reengage employees in the workplace, strengthen company cultures and meet with incredibly strategic organizations to help them hire, retain and develop their workforce.
What is your favorite thing about your sales office?
The Seattle office is known for our culture. My peers are incredible at what they do, and I learn an immense amount from both tenured and new reps. Celebrating the daily wins, big or small, is something we always put first!
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
Be courageous, get comfortable being uncomfortable, and be yourself. You will grow personally and professionally in the blink of an eye if you keep your head down and do your very best every day.
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?
Revolutionary. From continuous development of technology and people to a culture of accountability and learning, Paycom has ensured (and will continue to ensure) our technology and people are always a step ahead of others in the industry.
What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?
My greatest accomplishment at Paycom is becoming the number one rep in my office for 2019 and making Presidents Club all in the span of four months!
What makes you proud to work at Paycom?
I’m proud to work at an organization that values its employees and provides unlimited opportunities. As Paycom grows, so do you!
Where has been your favorite place to travel, and why?
This year I went on a jungle excursion in Kauai, Hawaii. We got to see an ancient tombstone overlooking the only private area of the island, and it was so beautiful!
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?
I love to run in the summers, snowboard in the winters and travel as much as possible with friends on the weekends!
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
I would eat spaghetti for the rest of my life because it’s a quick-fix meal and incredibly hard to mess up.
