We interviewed one of our executive sales representatives, Rachel, to learn more about her Paycom journey.
What is your favorite thing about your team?
Our culture! I truly feel so lucky and inspired by the like-minded individuals I am surrounded by each day. We are a big family that looks out for each other and pushes one another to be the best versions of ourselves. The Tulsa team has made such a big impact on me personally and professionally.
What advice would you give a new employee for being successful at Paycom?
Show up with a smile on your face, be eager to learn and ready to ask questions and take it day by day. It will be a lot of information, but Paycom is an incredible organization that provides an unparalleled amount of resources to ensure you succeed.
What’s the one word you would choose to describe Paycom, and why?
Transformational. Not only has this job transformed my life for the better, but we transform the lives of our clients and the way they run their organizations. It’s incredible to experience that myself and be a part of that process for my clients.
What is your greatest accomplishment at Paycom?
This is tough because there are so many due to how much this job and company have made an impact on my life. My greatest accomplishment has to be my personal and professional growth. I look at myself as a true business executive, and that is something I never thought I would hear myself say. Finishing the year #1 on my team and landing among the top in sales rankings are two accomplishments that I am very proud of as well.
What makes you proud to work at Paycom?
The impact we make on individuals’ lives and their organization. I truly believe in our company and the software. When I sell it, people can tell by the conviction in my voice that I believe in it, and that’s what I am proud of. I love working for a company that truly makes a difference for the better.
What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work?
I love cycling (I just invested in a Peloton), traveling with my fiancé and playing with my golden retriever, Cooper.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Fish tacos, guacamole and queso. Mexican food is my love language!
